A Hot Wind

Here they call her Santa Ana
They look at her like a curiosity
As she swoops in with tenacity
And a sudden velocity

The hot wind is blowing in
With the calor of red roses
Fragrant desert wind poses
Turning dry lips and noses

She rushes in to caress my face
The hot wind with eagle eye
And sweet smelling sigh
She said hello she said goodbye

And it's over just like that
The wind changes and life
Goes on with the normal strife
Two hearts cut with the knife
