Early Years
Angelica was born into an affluent Italian
family. But she was always different from the rest of her
clan. Her family all agrees she was well named because she's like an
angel. Driven by her desire to help and protect others, she
eventually became a lawyer but never worked for a legal firm.
She spent all her time doing pro bono work for "Voice of the
Martyrs" and other similar organizations that get little press but
quietly help millions in need. She’s quiet and soft spoken
except when in debate—then she’s a dynamo.
Angelica is completely immersed herself
in her work and has no interest in romance but when she met Adam,
for the first time in her life
she felt romantic feelings. She realized Adam was her
soul-mate but also realized that she had no time or interest in
dating or marriage so she determined they would have a brother/sister
relationship.
When Adam called her and told her about his
discovery and the implications of it, she leapt at the opportunity
to work together with him to heal the world - she knew he could do
it.

Angelica only real interest in her soul powers was the powers of purity and honesty.
On the one hand this made her the most fragile and vulnerable of the
Free Souls. On the other hand she excelled in an area that can
only be described in physical terms as pure light. As things
unfolded she worked on her ability to create shields from various elements but her
real power was based on her moral purity and chastity.
Only Angelica and Adam knew of this intense power, only
effective against the power of darkness. Adam knew that power could be effective if Adam couldn't heal
Valen's poor lost soul. What Adam didn't know was that the
Free Souls were not just dealing with Valen -
but with a third of the fallen angels - the demonic powers. Angelica alone knew
