Early Years
Nkem was raised in Nigeria, as an Ibo man. When he was eleven
his family was torn apart by local violence and he witnessed a
massacre in which has parents were butchered. He was sent to an
orphanage where he excelled. Eventually a family from England
sponsored him. He went to Cambridge and graduate Magna Cum Laude
with a degree in International Finances. He then got a law degree
and a job at World Bank.
Nkem became a vice
president at the World Bank and got a reputation as an activist. He wrote and debated
in behalf of World Vision International and similar organizations. He was also well known as an
expert fund raiser. Nkem was a fierce competitor with a very strong
will and great endurance. He was also a very non-standard thinker and man of action who relished the
challenge of liberating the oppressed and downtrodden in Africa and
throughout the world.
Nkem married a European woman of African decent
named Lise. She was raised in Copenhagen and worked for the World
Bank. After they married she quit to raise their children. Nkem
was an activist who wrote and debated in behalf of World Vision
International. He was also well known as an expert fund raiser.
Will
met Nkem during a World Vision disaster relief effort. Nkem was in
charge of the rebuilding operation and Will was in charge of the
medical task force. They spent many nights talking after long hard
days attending to the needs of the earthquake victim.

After Nkem's soul was released it became apparent how 'non-standard' his thinking process was. One of the most difficult powers, assimilating anti-matter and manaipulating it, was simple for Nkem. He was also very strong in pysical proess and a formidible fighter. His affinity for animals gave him panther-like stealth and striking speed.
He became a champion of the downtrodden in Africa and the nemisis of the Warlords there. They were no match for him. But when Valen gained her dark power, the first place she attacked was Nkem's area of responsibility.
