Early Years
Sergei was a martial arts master and expert in
security. He’s a former Olympic Gold Medalist who’s as strong
as a bull and has a military demeanor about him. Sergei was in
charge of security at an event where he met
Adam. Sergei's
wife Kim, also a martial arts expert, and Janet Solomon hit it off
and they made sure their husbands got to know each other too.
Adam came to know and trust Sergei and whenever he needed a security
specialist he called his friend.
One day the call was different.
Adam
offered Sergei a full partnership in his company, Community Inc.
that was changing the world. The offer included an agreement
that Sergei would have to go though a n operation but that didn't
both the big Russian a bit. He wanted to be part of anything
Adam was running.

After the operation Sergei quickly established himself as the most
physically powerful of the Free Souls. John had been the the
top dog but no more. Sergei's strength was amazing.
He took on the role of the warrior and supervisor of security,
helping and teaching the other how to use their powers to defend,
attack and team together to optimize their soul powers.
Kim was ecstatic and, like Janet and DeAndrea, was very happy to
be a support to her powerful husband. She didn't want any part
of the temptation of darkness that came with the freedom of the
soul. But she was a great helper to him. Their had been
an episode early in their marriage when they were sparring together
that he carried his anger from a spat into the session and lost
control. He broke her nose and bloodied Kim's lip.
Though Kim forgave him he continued to carry guilt over the incident
which would eventually be discovered by Valen.
