Telling Stories Without Words

Every dream has a door
to an eternal destination.
Every dream tells a story
without words.
Things  move
                       change
                                     rearrange.
Shifting symbols visions and songs
flirt with every possibility.
Moving up and down the bookstore isles,
the islands of the dream:
isle of fantasy,
isle of history,
isle of music,
isle of philosophy,
isle of mystery,
isle of poetry,
isle of religion,
I love everything here.  I see
this place created
in kaleidoscopic dances
of nightlight verses,
of books and bookends.
Reading lamps and fantastic interruptions.
A vast array of silent interactions
blending together to tell
stories without words.
